K C Agrawal, an electrical engineer and senior member of IEEE, USA, had had more than 33 years experience in different capacities in academics, PSUs, multinationals like Crompton Greaves and NGEF, a unit of AEG, West Germany, handling electric motors and generators and then running his own industry ECS Pvt. Ltd. for 24 years, manufacturing Switchgear Assemblies, Motor and Power Control Centres, Power Factor Control Panels, Static Drives, Bus Systems and undertaking Consultancy and Contracting jobs. He is a well acclaimed professional and industrialist in his field. Carrying and research activities on his shop floor and acquiring knowledge from different souces have been has basic traits and are presented through this book. He has also authored well acclaimed books Shaping India of our Dreams and Crusade India .

A must have reference book for any electric utility power engineer.

The content of the book is GREAT! This book is one of the best reference books in my electrical power engineering library. It covers almost all of the areas of electrical power engineering that haven't been updated since the Westinghouse T&D book was published in 1965. The level of detail to which all the subjects it addresses is excellent and on par with the Westinghouse T&D book.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the cover and binding are a little inferior to text books printed in the USA.
