SO FRUSTRATING

I NEED MORE.....I loved the story for all it's wonder and magic between the characters and this gave nowhere near enough. I have to know how they got there powers back; did they really get married; were they able to have a baby; did Able deal with his issues? I want to know....I need to know.

This volume is a perfect example. I bought this book looking forward to ...

The writing is okay but certainly not anything more than that. I've read many of her "books". She cheats her readers by promising series installments in certain date ranges and then does not deliver, or produces a half way poorly written final installment. This volume is a perfect example. I bought this book looking forward to a real novel quality story. What I got was barely essay that was not well written. This was the last straw. I no longer read S. J. Day or any of her aliases.

Ohh my Angelo Ti Amo!!! I loved loved this book!! I got to see my baby Drake and visit with Georgia!! But from the opening page Angel took over him and Raquel where fire !! Now we see the reason Angel was trying to hit everything that moved he was trying to burn her out his system but it wasn't working she put her stamp on him and now she was back and he was claiming what was his and boy did he claim it!!!!! From the hot scene in the the hotel when she came face to face to what she awakened to Angelo realizing what he wasn't letting go!! And then My Drake came out to play and it got real plus one more surprise which brings Desired too a stunning conclusion ties are forged battles are lost and won and just when you think you know it gets even R.A.W.er Come meet Angel you won't be disappointed!! Do your Damn thing S.K!!!!!!

Off the chain Excellent!!!!

I just had to give this review before I went to bed. This book was a great sequel to first book. I have to strongly urge readers to please read Desired the first book first!!!!! Loved Drake and Georgia's story but this book is all Angel and his other half Raquel. A lot of questions were answered especially regarding why the relationship between Angel and his brother Eddie was broken. S.K Lessly did a tremendous job and this book was worth the wait. If you read other books by this author you will truly get a treat as she has included two other favorite characters Max & Mason West from RUINED!!!! How she was able to incorporate them into book was just awesome. Loved it, Loved it, Loved it!!!

Okay so in all of your books that I own I've always maintained that I was #teamJosh however I just finished this book and though I still love my Josh, Angel has taken first place in my heart among SK Lessly alpha males. Wow you did ya thang on this book lady. I absolutely love all of your writing without a doubt but this one has by far has to be my favorite. I love how you incorporated Mason and Max into this story. I'm still smiling at the banter between the guys and how well Max, Georgia and Raquel became friends. This book kept me trying to figure out who was the traitors and who had Angels back I was looking at everyone funny and didn't trust a soul you did a good job of keeping the readers guessing cause I swear I was getting mad at the wrong people. But I loved how the scheme got Drake back to his cousin that was clever lol. As always I am forever a fan and can't wait til the next one drops. It most certainly will be added to my SK collection of purchases.

Excellent

...The Darksword Trilogy, as a whole, is an intruiging series. I always liked Saryon- he's just so kind and lovable. My absolute favorite character is Simkin, of course. Simkin represents the joker in all of us, and I laughed so hard I cried at some of his tricks. Joram is the exact opposite- he's the dark side in all of us, eager to find the light. I was always kind of hoping he would realize what a jerk he was being, but by the end of the first book I realized that wasn't going to happen, and it turned out for the better, apparently, in "Doom of the Darksword." Mosiah is most of us- trying (unsuccessfully) to get our friends to realize how hardheaded they're being and being quite helpful to others anyway. Other characters flit in and out of the novels (Blachloch, Elspeth, Anja) but the ones that last for a while are very good.
Okay. "Triumph of the Darksword" is a Five because of its flipping back and forth. You like Major Boris because he represents the good military man we know, but on the side of Thimhallan, who you've been following since the beginning, he and Menju represent everything evil to them- Technologists, Dead people who use the old art of Technology to destroy and annex and basically do bad things. The characters in this novel were as true to form as ever, and fit their molds in the Prophecy as expected (though I was a little put out at what happens to Simkin) and the plot is pretty good, as far as fantasy goes.
Personally, I liked the second book of the trilogy best, as far as character actions went. But for the plot and results of the entire trilogy- this one was the best. Read it and you'll fall in love.

quitre possibly the weakest, most badly written ending I have ever read on a series... it was so bad it made me swear off any further books by the author... i just don't want to invest time in a book or series that might have such a marginal payoff at the end..

Dude, Where's my Ending?

I'm not going to complain, as others have, that they mixed Fantasy and SF in the same book; that's fine.

But what others call a "refreshing twist" is, IMHO, completely stupid and a commission of one of the cardinal sins of poor writing. A good author resolves a plot - characters' motivations get worked out, events progress to some natural conclusion, happy, sad, neutral, disturbing, or otherwise. Questions, at least some of them, get answered.

Weak authors build up piles of tension and intrigue then discover they've planned no way out. So instead of resolving plots and characters, they bring in new material that simply makes the previous thousand pages irrelevant.

Nations stand at the brink of war. Our hero is caught and conflicted, feeling responsible for the impending havoc. Each side thinks the other posesses the secret weapon. The motivations, hopes, and dreams of a few dozen supporting characters are balanced on the proverbial knife. The reader is on seats' edge, wondering which noble hearts will receive an unjust end, and whether villains will prosper or bleed out on the end of a white knight's sword.

When all of a sudden, a nameless, faceless force (farce?) with no logical motivation and with whom the reader has no relationship shows up and slaughters everyone. Can't figure out how to resolve that military hero, dear author? One blink of a tank's laser iris, and your conundrum vanishes - along with your reader's sense of resolution.

The series' most entertaining character and biggest enigma, Simkin, simply vanishes, with no explanation whatsoever except for some unsatisfactory handwaving in a weak and aimless epilogue.

Animals and Disease examines the interactions of medicine and veterinary medicine in their common quest for ways of combating and controlling epidemic diseases in man and animals. Emphasis is placed on the study of animal disease itself, and its implications for human medicine, at first empirically, and later by deliberate use of animal models. Following a general introduction, the text is mainly concerned with developments of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, focusing in particular on the apparent paradox of the founding of the Brown Institution in London, an institute for comparative medicine, nearly twenty years before similar institutes appeared in France and in Germany, although comparative medicine was studied with much more enthusiasm there than in the British Isles. The rise and fall of the Brown Institute and the subsequent rise of the great institutes of Paris and Berlin is discussed, concluding with the rise at the turn of the century of American institutes for comparative medicine.

Man's attempts to learn about aspects of the human body and its functions by observation and study of animals are to be found throughout history, especially at times and in cultures where the human body was considered sacrosanct, even after death. This book describes the origins and later development, especially in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, of comparative medicine and its interrelationship with medicine and veterinary medicine and the efforts of its practitioners to understand and control outbreaks of infectious, epidemic diseases in humans and in domestic animals. In the nineteenth century their efforts and increasing professionalism led to the creation of specialised institutes devoted to the study of comparative medicine. Paradoxically the first such institute, the Brown Institution, opened in London in 1871, despite the fact that the study of this branch of medicine in Britain had always lagged behind that in France and Germany. The book discusses the rise and fall of this centre and describes how it was soon overtaken in importance by the great institutes in Paris and Berlin and then, from the turn of the century, by American institutes, funded by private fortunes. This book sheds much new light on the medical and veterinary history of this period and will provide a new perspective on the history of bacteriology.
